One Girl's Dream To Read Every Book

Request A Book   My Name is Alice
I'm a writer, student, avid reader and tea drinker, and entrepreneur (I have a publishing house)
I used to work in a bookstore :D

Ever since I was 13 I've kept a count of how many books I've read each year. So far the most I've read is 56.

When I was little I wanted to read every book in my local library, as I got older I grew up and realised that that wasn't enough. I now want to read every book ever written.
Or at least get as many read as I can before I die.

A also like cats =^.^=

This is a book review blog, I've made it to help make myself read more books.

"There are three rules for writing a novel. The trouble is, nobody knows what they are."

"When I read a book I seem to read it with my eyes only, but now and then I come across a passage, perhaps only a phrase, which has a meaning for me, and it becomes part of me."

"Still, this indiscriminate love feels entirely serious to her, as if everything in the world is part of a vast, inscrutable intention and everything in the world has its own secret name, a name that cannot be conveyed in language but is simply the sight and feel of the thing itself."
Michael Cunningham, The Hours

"[writing novels is like] trying to make a patchwork quilt look seamless. A novel is made up of scraps of our own lives and bits of other people’s, and things we think of the night and whole notebooks full of randomly collected details."

Can I please have this in dark green (where the purple is) and brown? I would love you all forever if you did that.
OR OR OR
Can the purple be Gold and the rest of the dress be that really dark red colour that I like??

"Sometimes I have the strangest feeling about you. Especially when you are near me as you are now. It feels as though I had a string tied here under my left rib where my heart is, tightly knotted to you in a similar fashion. And when you go, with all that distance between us, I am afraid that this cord will be snapped, and I shall bleed inwardly."

In todays academic society people are messing up and making design redundant. Above is a photo of two books I borrowed from the University library and both have had their jackets removed and placed on the shelf. I think that this is a horrible abuse of the removable dust jacket and that not only would the books be better protected if they still had their jackets the design and wonderful work would still be on display for people to look at and possibly hire the designers for future projects in book cover design.

"Sometimes I wonder if there’s something wrong with me.. Perhaps I’ve spent too long in the company of my literary romantic heroes, and consequently my ideals and expectations are far too high. But in reality, nobody’s ever made me feel like that."
